Abstract: Swertia chirayita, a medicinal herb that is present at the temperate Himalyas and is most popular herb because of its large no. of pharmacological activities. This plants contains various chemical constituents i.e. mangiferin, amarogentin, swertiamarin, gentianine, swerchirin etc. These chemical constituents contains many medicinal uses such as it is antidiabetic, hepatoprotective, anticancer, antiviral, antiinflamatory, antimicrobial, antimalarial, etc. According to reports, sound affects the growth, development and phytochemical contents of plants. So, in the present study, two aspects are studied i.e. effects of acoustic waves were checked on the plant growth & its chemical constituents and acoustical parameters study of S.chirayita extracts.
