Abstract: | Antimicrobial agents are a group of medications that include antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, and antiparasitic compounds and are used to treat an array of medical ailments. Over administration of antimicrobial drugs has led to an issue regarding resistance against antimicrobial agents, which has now become a major challenge to treat microbial infections. Multidrug-resistant microorganism strains have doubled globally in recent years. Resistance against antimicrobial agents is a serious danger to patient care, resulting in a rise in morbidity and mortality. |
