Abstract: This Project work titled “Foundation Design of a Shopping complex at Pratap Vihar, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.” involves the study and analysis of the soil profile at Pratap vihar, Ghaziabad to calculate the bearing capacity of the soil at various depths with the help of the geotechnical data obtained from Plate load test, Standard Penetration test and direct cone penetration test which were performed on the soil by the geotechnical experts. Further, this work involves the Design of foundation of a shopping complex on the same soil profile using R.C.C. analysis with the help of the bearing capacities calculated from different tests for various depths.All the design considerations and norms according to the Indian standard codes have been thoroughly followed. Main aim of this Project work is to provide ready to implement design tecchniques and requirements.
