Abstract: The project aims at developing an E-Medicare database, through which a user can get the probable diseases from the symptoms and the system will recommend a suitable doctor for the same. The user can register on the website to avail this facility. Once the user has registered, he/she can now login through the website and search his/her query accordingly by entering their symptoms on the search bar. The results are displayed depending upon the combined number of occurrences of the keywords. The user can also write a review on the basis of which the website and the services provided by the website will be improved. For this project a dataset is used which will be containing the symptoms of the diseases and also a list of suitable doctors for the treatment of the same which is present in the HDFS, further processed by the MapReduce framework to generate results.
