The construction of buildings is responsible for a sizable portion of the world's energy, power, water, and material use. Around 35–40% of the energy produced globally was used by buildings during their construction and resident use, according to the United Nations' 2020 Global Status Report and other sources. The same also contributed about 33% to the global emission. Therefore, there is an urgent need to adopt new technologies to tackle the problems in the industry of construction which is one of the biggest in the world and is also rapidly growing. Therefore, to mitigate the problem of high energy consumption and pollution from the industry of construction, the concept of green building was started.en_US
